BHEV MIX

In January 1963, the Budapest Local Interest Railway (BHEV) launched the first two motor cars of its own designed and manufactured motor train types, wich were equipped with German electronics. These two motor cars and the trailer, wich was put on the market a month later, were made at BHEV's Budafok Plant. The MIX model was equipped with electronics bought from the LEW company in the GDR, the series cars were made in MAV's Dunakeszi Vehicle Repair Shop. A total of 27 units (2 motor cars and 1 intermediate trailer) were completed.

BHEV MXA

In May 1968, through the foreign trade company NIKEX and the East German company Transportmaschinen Export-Import, the BKV ordered 16 three-part HÉV motor trains from VEB Lokomotivbau-Elektrotechnische Werke “Hans Beimler” (LEW) in Hennigsdorf. The MXA is an enhanced version of the MX type. The MX series arrived at BKV in 1971, and the MXA vehicles arrived between 1975-1983.

Ganz-Mavag V43

The MAV V43 series is the largest series of electric locomotives delivered to the Hungarian State Railways. In 1960, Hungarian industry purchased a license for a silicon rectifier locomotive from the Western Working Community for the Development of 50-Period Railway Electrification, which comprises eight factories.

Ikarus 55

The Ikarus 55, one of the best known and most successful types of long-distance and tourist buses, was manufactured between 1954 and 1973 at the Ikarus factory. It is the sister type of the 55 city bus, the Ikarus 66 city bus.The Ikarus 66 is the urban-suburban bus type of the Ikarus factory. Most of the 9,260 units produced were exported to the German Democratic Republic, and through the approximately 2,700 vehicles delivered to the Hungarian Volan companies, it was one of the dominant types of bus transport in the 1960s and 1970s.
